Big boy

ughh.. I feel like I'm way behind on blogging. I feel like I've been so busy ever since Thanksgiving! I got called into the Primary Presidency around that time... I think that's had just a bit to do with it! I'm always amazed when I'm called into a calling how much service goes into the programs of the church and how much of a responsibility it is! I've liked serving in the Primary though. It's been a good experience for me that I'm growing from. I love the women in the Presidency that I'm working with... they are such great women! I've always wanted to be in the Primary... ALTHOUGH, I was thinking more along the lines of being a primary TEACHER! :) I love being in the Primary room though each Sunday.. I feel the Spirit more there each week than any time else which is a blessing. This month, I've been in charge of Sharing Time ( a 20 minute period just to teach the children in a large group). I've only taught 2 Relief Society lessons in my life, so I guess it's good practice for me to get up and teach a group, although shall we say it is NOT my TALENT! :) We have a large Primary (138 kids). Junior Primary has been a bit rough with the beginning of the year changes and all. I'm not good at holding their attention or getting them to quite down, and what's the use in talking again? ha ha j/k! :) No, the first week was pretty hectic-- it never got quite! But, that's o.k. and it's getting better. A lot of relief comes when I have the participation and minds of the Senior Primary kids! :)

I finished the last episode of "Lost" last night and look forward to watching this season.

We went up to Joe and Nannette's beautiful new property last Saturday. Austin helped them plant 31 trees/bushes while the kids zoomed FAST on the 4 wheelers. A lot of fun for them! A bit nerve wracking for me (especially at the beginning!) I'll bring helmets for them next time. But, it was a lot of fun.

Austin bought an old white BMW. It's been a bit of a pain with problems, but hopefully we're getting most of the kinks out of it!

We went on a last minute date night last Friday. We got a babysitter and cruised in his BMW (with NEW stereo). It was a lot of fun! Although, I felt so old. I don't really cruise or rock to music very well anymore! lol. I need to get into the groove again or just get out more! We went to see Bride Wars with Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, and Kristen Johnston. I thought it was good/funny. Then Austin and I split an avocado roll and raspberry cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory. We had an awesome time! (If you haven't had their appetizer avocado rolls, try them! I love them. The sauce is SO GOOD! Anybody know what it is?)
It was the first time leaving William.. he did great with the babysitter.

Austin started school today. He is excited to think that this is IT--HIS LAST SEMESTER OF SCHOOL!

Emma has been having a few friends over. Yesterday, we invited her friend Raleigh to come play. She is such a sweet girl. When her Dad came to pick her up, she asked him if she could sleep over! I'm glad she had a good time. :) My neighbor also asked if I could watch her 3 kids yesterday morning, so it was a FULL house! Speaking of "full house." I dvr 'd it for the girls. We watched 3 episodes of it in a row. It was so fun. They LOVED it! What a great show.

I've been going to the YMCA most mornings. There are 7 of us that meet there to workout.. so it's been a lot of fun. Lily likes going to play with her friends and William does a good job too.
I signed the girls up for a bunch of things that they'll be doing. Emma will start gymnastics next Saturday. She'll also be doing performing arts and a few cooking classes. Lily will be doing soccor. fun fun.

The last few days have been quite significant for William. He is wanting to be such a big boy! He's been crying a little bit more however (nothing worth complaining about), and he woke up an abnormal amount of times a few nights ago (like 3 times), so I knew something wasn't quite right. I thought he had an ear infection. Took him to the doctor, NOPE, no ear infection. He is 15 1/2 lbs. and 25 1/2" long. He is in about the 25th percentiles.

BUT... his first tooth did break through last night! And his 2nd bottom tooth broke through this morning. Can you see it? It's hard to see...

He's been a trooper! I feel like he just wants to be a big boy now. He is days away from rolling from his back to his tummy. On his tummy, he holds himself up for quite a long time. He also does great ab workers (I got it on video... maybe I can figure it out one day). On his back, he'll lift his head pretty far up like a crunch to try to sit up time after time. The gym nursery loves him. They always say he's the best baby, that he should be a commercial baby, and they ask me if I know how lucky I am. They couldn't believe how good he was today while he's teething.

With the tad bit more crying, I thought maybe it's time that he is just not feeling full, so he had his first oatmeal cereal (I think you're supposed to do rice first, I don't remember! fill me in if there's an order I'm supposed to be doing this -k?! )Here he is in his high chair (thanks again Natalie for sending it down!)

Here he is "o.k. I'm ready. Let's try this stuff!"

"oh yes, a picture first of this very momentous occasion of me eating for the very first time! What nice sisters I have!""here we go"
"What is this?'
"ugh... I wasn't expecting this!"
"I don't think so!"

"This is not going down my tummy. nuh uh!"

Mommy shovels it back in. "try try again!"
"fine!"
maybe not so bad...
he packed it all down. Honestly, I couldn't tell if he liked it or not. When I gave it to him, he gives the nasty face and then shakes his head like it's a sour lime! But, he ate it all gone.

And I just have some random pics:

Emma with William. William doesn't seem to mind the girls holding him, which is nice.

The girls have been playing monopoly lately. Had to get them a calculator. I didn't realize w hat a good learning $/math game it is.
This isn't one of my favs, but here is Lily in all her sassiness. Here she is saying, "you haven't taught me anything today! hmph!" She likes me to print out preschool pages for her to do, and I obviously hadn't done that for her.
Austin's first time getting peed on. It made me laugh at what a baby he was about it! lol. He insisted that I finish Williams bath so he could go change.
Lily got in trouble last week. I had baked some bread. There were 3 small loaves on the counter. I came out and there were only 2. "Lily, where's the other bread?" "I don't know" "I don't know" "I don't know" repeat 10 more times! Found the bread in the freezer 1/3 scooped out! So after not being grounded, she got a little bug eyed being able to watch t.v. again.
sweet little guy. I love little fingers/toes. sooo precious.
