Emma's 1st report card

Emma came home last Monday with her first report card. She got all A's (actually E's for excellent). Her teacher says that she is doing great in every way. So.. we are proud parents of our little Emma girl!

So, I took her out to ice cream for a reward (this is Emma's heaven. Everytime we say she gets a reward... she pipes up, "ICE CREAM?") So.. we headed out. I wanted to take her to a place called Chocolata (o.k. ready for a sidepost? I went there probably a month ago for a friends birthday. I had a strawberry shake with a white chocolate pepperiment candy bar. IT WAS SO HEAVENLY!!!! So... I've been basically CRAVING it for the last month! I overeat trying to fulfill this craving and you know how well that's worked. So, we drive by and IT IS CLOSED! I am so bummed. My taste buds are bummed! I guess I'll have to be content with the heavenly Lindts White Chocolate truffles for now.) So we went in the mall and she saw Sonic and immediately picked out a m&m blizzard. We had a GREAT time talking. It's so fun to hear her describing things, using BIG words, and using her expressions to tell me things that happen at school.

I had a great time spending some quality one on one with her, but we took just a minute to do a few snapshots.

She was much more interested in eating her ice cream!



After ice cream, she really wanted to ride the carousel. She was all excited to ride ... it started...but her horse didn't go up and down. "THIS IS NOT FUN!" So, the lady manning the carousel let us ride again (it was really slow). So, she rode again, and had a great time. I'm glad she's still young enough to enjoy these things.
