After Emma got home from school, I took the kids to the park. It was about 5:30 when we were about to leave when a lady told us that our subdivision was having a carnival. So, we hurried home to grab the camera and went to go check it out. I'm glad we did. The girls were in heaven. They had such a blast. At the end of the night they couldn't stop talking about how "AWESOME" it was! I think the girls were seriously in girl heaven! It was SO FUN to be with the kids. Carnivals usually aren't that much fun for me because I'm so cheap. I usually can't justify spending $20 for the kids to jump up in the air or $10 for them to ride around on a pony for 3 minutes, etc. But, it was all FREE! It made it so much fun. We'll look forward to next years free carnival. Here's a little bit of what we did:
The girls suprisingly really wanted to go see the bear. They went up to him and freely gave him hugs.
They thought the juggler was pretty good.
When they saw that they could do this, they didn't care about waiting in line. They wanted to do it! No fear of heights here.
You probably can't tell... but that's Emma.
and Lily getting ready to go up.

It was getting late and dark. We were the last ones to take a pony ride for the night.
The kids were actually a little scared of these little animals. But, I made them at least pet this sweet baby deer.
And to finish off the night (at 9:00 p.m.!), they got their faces painted. Emma a butterfly and Lily got a heart.
They also had a balloon maker. They had so much fun watching the lady make their crown and swan. Lily wore her crown the next day. People at the mall thought her crown was pretty cool.
I didn't even tell them to strike a pose. crazy girls.
William just hung out. I think he was interested in all he saw though.
Me and our kiddos. What a great night!
They offered free hotdogs and hamburgers, but by the time we got there (at 9:00 p.m.), they were all gone. So, we had to go home and get them some dinner before they headed off to bed. Tomorrow is a school day, but it is so worth it. Emma actually wanted to wear her face painting to school the next day, so we let her. She said when she got to school that everybody surrounded her to look at her face painting. Fun for her.
I think these pictures will do for the funny pictures every kid has of missing teeth. Yep, Emma has lost 2 more teeth. She has lost 6 altogether now. Her letters to the tooth fairy are so funny. I'll have to try and find them. The tooth fairy wrote a little note to Emma for her 1st 3 teeth. For the 4th tooth lost though, there was no little note. So she wrote a letter saying "you didn't write me a letter." Then, for this last one she wrote something like "instead of money, do you have webkins? If not, that's o.k."
