I thought a Sunday drive out to the Texas blue bonnets to take pictures would be fun and just nice to get away! HA! first 45 minutes. so good. BEAUTIFUL drive. The remaining 3 hour trip (it was a lot LONGER than I thought it'd be) wasn't exactly the kid's idea of fun. I felt bad for them. When we got there, all 3 kids were pretty much crying. But, since we had done the drive and the sunset was looking so pretty, I tried to convince them to get out and have fun and just to do ONE good picture! another BIG HA! I had to wake up William and he was not happy so I held him most of the time (and it's hard to take pictures with one hand). You wouldn't know completely from these pictures just how unhappy they were.
We didn't get home until like 9:30. poor kiddos were so tired.
So, the weekend didn't start off right and it didn't really end very good either...it was one of those weekends I could just have done without, you know? Ever have one of those? But, here's to a new week. Emma just came home with an ear infection (I'm pretty sure it's from allergies) and Austin is in his very last class EVER right now! 3 finals and 1 bar to go... I can't believe we go to Iowa in like 10 days! BTW... calling all Iowa friends. I can't wait to see you! :)

Where did you find that field? I have been looking for a field of wild flowers and they seem to all be on the side of the interstate.
Beautiful Koni! lovely kids.
Wow, what an beautiful spot for pictures! Wish we lived there and you could take pictures for us. You are a fabulous photographer and managed to get some great photos even with unhappy kids.
So jealous you get to go to Iowa. Never thought I'd say that but I love and miss that place.
You are amazing! The pictures are beautiful!!
Sarah - I took them on the way to Austin... a few miles past Brenham. It is the most beautiful drive. I think you could find plenty of places before you get to Brenham. good luck!
I would have to say that drive was sort of worth the drive. What an amazing background! Those are priceless photos.
Awesome pics koni! I need some more lessons from you.
I wonder if they are still that beautiful... I too have been wondering where I could find a place to take some good pics... Lucky find and AWESOME pictures : )
