Backyard fun at night in January

Yesterday was a perfect weather day... not too hot and not too cold.

Girls: "Can we go play in the sprinklers?"
Mom: "I don't think so... it's getting dark and the water will probably be too cold."
Emma: "we don't care"
Lily: "yeah, we don't care"
Dad: "go feel the cold water in the bathroom and you'll see how cold the hose water will be."

they go feel the cold water in the bathroom and seconds later they come out changed into their swimsuits and had a great time spraying each other with the hose.

I don't get how they could have so much fun spraying each other with COLD water, but they did (however...I am one who does not like to be cold... I even HATE the second of cold water when I first get in the shower).

They took turns spraying each other.

They each, however, like to be in control of the hose.

After they played for quite some time, they were shivering. I had a nice warm bubble bath ready for them.

fun kiddos!

Only in Houston can you get away w/swimsuits in winter! How fun!

I wish my kids could play outside in the winter. Here the ground has over a foot of snow on it and it is just going to get worse.

I am so jealous of you guys in your swimsuits. Justin saw your blog and said "I miss Emma and Lily". We miss you guys. Find us a job in Houston.
