Day with Lily at the Old MacDonalds Farm

Tonight I went with Nannette, a friend, and our 7 kids to Sweet Tomatoes. I've never ate there, but was very pleased to know it is a salad bar restaurant. I've been a little bummed that there isn't a "Super Salad" place here, so now I know where to go. It was a lot of fun.

One funny thing that happened: I was working on getting ice cream and all the toppings for Lily WHILE holding William. My hands were full! Behind me I hear a woman in back of me say "could you hurry?" Well.... I turned around and gave her the "EEXXXCCUUSSEEE MEEE???" look.. (you know, that probably not very nice look). Well, it was Nannette's friend that I had just barely met! There was an older man standing right behind her that witnessed the whole thing. . and waiting to see how this was going to pan out. Then he realized it was just a prank and we all found it very funny! I want to try this one on someone sometime! :)

Yesterday, I took Lily and William to the Old MacDonald Farm here. You want to know the girls version of the Old MacDonald song that they have been singing ever since Emma was 3?

"Old McDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-O. And on that farm he had a TOILET! E-I-E-I-O. With a FLUSH FLUSH here and a FLUSH FLUSH there. Everywhere a FLUSH FLUSH! Old MacDonald had a farm. E-I-E-I-O!" Then there is hysterical laughter and then they repeat it at least 2 more times! They will never sing the normal version... they like their own!

So yesterday, our ward and some of the other wards met at the Old MacDonald farm. I went with a friend and her 2 kids. We had a lot of fun. I was exhausted. I had went to bed really late the night before. Then it was raining...then I just don't sleep as well w/o Austin (he is on a fishing trip with his brother and Dad in AZ)...then William has a bit of a runny nose that kept him up...then the girls woke up earlier at 6:15. So... I was tired, but we stayed until 2:30 p.m. and had a great time. And as Lily put it at the end of the day "this was a GREAT homeschool day!" Lily doesn't go to preschool. We have "homeschool." (which she has higher expectations on doing more things than I've done! Sometimes when I tell her she needs to clean her room or do something, she'll say "this is a VERY BAD homeschool day!" But, it's been good for us to hang out together. Although, I miss Emma so much! Her day is sooo long. She gets on the bus at 7:40 and gets home at 4:00. I missed her not being there with us. Since William didn't sleep at all that night, he literally slept the whole time we were there in the baby bjorn and he slept for the whole day barely even waking up enough to eat.

Austin gets home on Sunday. Emma has been in my bed the last hour. We've just been talking (SO NICE! Did I mention I miss her. It's like I've blinked and she's noticeably bigger and more mature.) We miss Daddy too!!! Austin just called while we were talking and Emma says "I wish I could just scoop you out of the phone!"

Here's some pics from our day. (Another pony ride! wow!) She, of course, is lovin' it!

She got a bag of food to feed the animals. The cows.
The pigs. These animals are definitely not afraid of people.
Lily--- a little bit scared of the pig though.
Here's one of the deer that just roam around eating out of Lily's hand.
And another one.
This is way random, but when I saw this picture, I was surprised by the pupils of its eyes... they're so oval.
Here's my friend, K. She was holding her baby when the deer pretty much grabbed the bag of food....
and took it!
Lily with the horse. She liked the horse

until : "MOM, IT LICKED ME!" "UGGH!" (kindof funny!)

another horse she liked.

They also had a train ride that went around the whole park, a park area, and this play area. She had a lot of fun playing.

Here she is with Will. Cute little guy that just had his birthday. It was fun going with them.
Although, Lily is either mad that Mr. Will didn't want to get his picture taken with her OR she doesn't like being a farmers wife!
here we are: (I took William out of the carrier for a picture right before we left the park).
and again.

Thanks H. for inviting me... we had a fund day!

Such great photos you have been taking! It makes me think 'maybe I should leave my house more often' so I have reasons to take photos :)
